2. What types of 3D Printing does Kirton Games offer?
We offer two types of 3D Printing: FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) Filament Printing and Resin Printing. FDM is excellent for creating robust and detailed wargaming terrains, while our Resin Printers produce highly detailed and finely crafted miniatures and miniature upgrade components.
3. Where can I find 3D designs to print?
We recommend platforms like Cults3D and MyMiniFactory. These websites offer a variety of print-ready designs, from complex wargame terrains to detailed miniature upgrades.
4. How does the 3D Printing service work?
Our service operates in four easy steps:
- Complete our Google Form outlining your 3D printing requirements.
- Upload your STL or OBJ file or provide a link.
- We'll review your design and requirements and provide a tailored quotation.
- Once you confirm and process the payment, we'll set your 3D printing project in motion.
5. How does Kirton Games calculate costs for 3D printing?
Costs are determined based on several factors such as the type of material used (FDM filament or Resin), the complexity of the design, and the amount of time it takes to print, as well as the costs of cleaning such as removing supports and curing. We'll provide a quote after reviewing your design and requirements.
6. How is the quality of the 3D printed products?
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality prints. Our FDM are lastest Prusa printer ensures strong and detailed prints ideal for wargaming terrain. Meanwhile, our 8K Resin Printers produce highly detailed and aesthetically appealing miniatures and upgrade components.
7. How do I know if a design is free to use?
Many designs available on platforms like Cults3D and Thingiverse are subject to licenses that define their usage. Members who download files must abide by these licenses. We encourage you to check the licensing details before submitting a design for printing.
